    Day of Silence/GLSEN

    Day of Silence is GLSEN's annual day of action to spread awareness about the effects of bullying and harassment of LGBTQ students. In the US, students take a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBTQ students. You may have got one of the tens of thousands of DOS shirts that we printed.

    Eve Ensler wrote the book that inspired a movement. V-Day began on February 14, 1998, when the very first V-Day was the performance of Ensler's play. The Vagina Monologues took place in NYC, raising over $250k for local anti-violence groups.

    This is a piece we had done in response to the Pulse nightclub massacre for Lin Manuel-Miranda’s efforts to raise funds for the victims families and survivors. We printed 15,000 of these on short notice.

    The 16th edition of the show, which had not been performed live since 2019 because of the coronavirus pandemic, raised a record-breaking $758,582 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City.

    Stonewall riots, were a series of violent confrontations that began on June 28, 1969, between police and gay rights activists outside the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York City. As the riots progressed, an international gay rights movement was born. Since 1969, now Gay rights marriage has become legal, and many other things have become legal, but there is much more ground to gain, the struggle is real.
